Beakon's AI reads the invoice, the bank statement, the contract — and proposes the entry with the accounts already chosen and the VAT already split. It is fast, and it is confident. Neither of those is the same as being right.
So every proposal lands inside a discipline five centuries older than it. Debits equal credits or the entry does not move. Both sides name a real account. The period is open, or it waits. A second person approves, or nothing posts. Double entry is not the old part of Beakon — it is the part that makes the AI safe to put near your books.
What we believe

The machine prepares. A person decides.
An AI is very good at reading an invoice and very bad at carrying responsibility for it. So Beakon drafts, and stops. Every entry in the ledger has a person's name against it, because someone approved it.
Being correct beats being convenient.
Where a shortcut would make the software nicer to use and the accounting weaker, we lose the shortcut. That trade comes up more often than you would think, and it is settled the same way every time.
A posted entry is history.
It is never quietly edited. A wrong entry is reversed and the correction is posted, so the books show what happened and what was done about it. That is what an auditor is looking for, and it is also just honest.
The documents belong to your clients.
Beakon can run its AI on your own hardware, so invoices and statements never leave the building. Sending them to a hosted model is a setting you switch on deliberately — never the default.
Where it is built
In Switzerland, with the people who have to sign the accounts.
Beakon is made by a small team working alongside a Swiss fiduciary practice. The accounting rules in it — VAT treatment, reverse charge, the approval sequence, what a register has to hold — were specified by people who do this work, not inferred from a competitor's feature list.
That is also why the product is opinionated. It is built for one way of working properly rather than for every way of working at all.
